Avaya Call Vectoring 2

Greetings,

I've been trying to update/create call vectoring for my office however, I cannot get the call to go to voicemail if there is no answer. Additionally, if the admin section is selected, I'd like the phone to ring in two offices but I have not figured out how to do so or if it's even possible. Any help? At this point, the vector looks like this:

Please forgive me if the code looks juvenile; however, I'm no where near tech-savvy. This kind of fell into my lap because the person that use to administer the system for the region quit and I happen to know that most about it at this time. Thanks in advance.

That makes sense, thanks. I'm in the processing of trying to set up a DID now. I'll let you know how it turns out....
 
ON YOUR COVERAGE PATH change active to no no, also I am assuming you are trying to go to ext 7038 voicemail correct?
 
Yes and no. If they select "0" and no one picks up 7038, I would like it to go to VM for 7038. Additionally, if they dial 4 digits and no one picks up, I would like that to go to VM for whichever extension they dial.

I'm reading through the manual right now to see if there is a way to do it....
 
did you make the change on the coverage path and what exactly is happening after they hit 0 I assume the phone rings but does it continue to ring?
 
I made the change to the coverage path and it didn't make any difference that I could tell.

Currently after they hit 0 or the 4 digit extension it just keeps ringing forever.
 
also is point 1 for ext 7038 something like h99 assumming hunt group 99 is voicemail because I see a vdn in lieu of vmail
 
Correct. There are only two coverage paths created. The first one is for all VM, it's Coverage Path 1 and Point 1 is h99.

The second CP is CP 10 which has a Point 1 of v2000; the vdn.

so just for a recap, if you call the extension from inside and if not answered it will go to voicemail correct?, if you call if from the outside from a did number it will go to voicemail if not answered correct? but if the call comes from the vector and they dial any extension then it will not go to voicemail? is this correct?
 
try this, create a new vdn that points to a new vector that says message skill 99 for extension active, if the vdn is 2050 then at point 2 for coverage path 10 put v2050 and retest, I am guessing it is not working due to lack of system features, if you had the Cvg Enabled for VDN Route-To Party? available then it would have worked.

**** It didn't work. It says, "VDN must be the last administered coverage point.
 
Is there any another way to eliminate the double coverage? I'm striking out over here.
 
I'm afraid you're looking at an upgrade. Although CM 4 has been working for you for years, it is getting a little old with v7 the latest version. Do you have a Business Partner? They would be the best ones to discuss updates or upgrades.
 
That's what I was thinking. I sent an upgrade request to our OIT on Friday; we'll see how it goes. Thanks a bunch for all of the help you provided.
 
no on the vector, are you able to do a message skill 99 command, this would not be on the coverage path
