Avaya Agent and Avaya One-X Agent is license dependent?

Can any one help me understand if these softphones are license dependent? Meaning to say I have a separate license for these softphones to work and register to CM?

As far as i understand for Avaya One-X Comm you can register this if you have station license.

You need a license for each. Depending on your release, Avaya would give you as many one-communicator licenses as you have station licenses included with your entitlement. One-X Agent licenses ALWAYS have to be purchased.
