Avaya 96xx hard phones & Avaya HIC-1 headset cord

Hello again...

We have a bunch of 9640's and a few 9670's out there, and we have a couple of users who have a wired headset using the "Avaya HIC-1 1202 M" cord, and it doesn't appear to be working.

When using the headset on a 96xx, you can hear but you can't be heard when you talk. To verify it's not the headset or cable, we plugged it into a 4625sw & a 2420, and it works on both phones.

Is there another hard-line headset cable that works with the 96xx? Maybe a HIC-2 cable?

According to the Plantronics Product Finder, you need an HIS cable for the 9640, 9640G, & 9670 sets.
