Avaya 46xx series phones and Cisco LLDP problem

We are trying to get Avaya 4602 and 4621 IP handsets working with LLDP on a Cisco 4503 layer 3 switch. The switch is running IOS 12.2(53)SG1 and the IP handsets have got 2.91 firmware on them but they just doesn't seem to be picking up the voice vlan from the data switch.

Can anyone offer any help or suggestions.

If any further info is needed then just ask and I will do my best to supply it.

Can you paste the config of at least the VLAN's (interfaces) the DHCP pool (voice and data) and an examaple of a port config?
You get any results from the voice vlan on "sh IP DHCP bindings"?
Got any errors on the phone dispay's, what phase of boot do they stop at?

I'd already red the pdf file. It turns out an entry was missing from the routing table on the switch. Once this was put in the phones picked up the VLAN ID via LLDP.
