Use df -k in Solaris or df -Pk in IBM AIX
In IBM AIX u can dynamically increase the size of a volume by using logical volume manager!.In Solaris you need Solstice Disk suite or Veritas to Do this.Or you can take a back up of the fiesystem,create a bigger partition and restore it!!!
