Hello,
i have a cisco 1710 router connected to a 56k US-Robotics Modem, but i can't open a telnet session to the modem. after i have authenticated nothing happens.

my line is configured as follows:

line aux 0
no motd-banner
password 7 044A1E0704241F
login authentication aux
modem InOut
transport input all
stopbits 1
speed 115200
flowcontrol hardware

i think the issue is a wrong cabeling between the modem and the router. i use a normal console-cable from the aux port to the db9 adapter. then i have an straight db9 -> db25 adapter and then an straight db25 cable to the modem.
is this correct or do i need other cables? if it's not correct, what cable do i need and where can i get it from?

btw. sorry, bad english, i know ;)

thanks!

hello again,
problem solved....
i forgot that a console-cable is rolled and not straight.
if i use a normal patch-cable it works. :)
