Hi!
I wonder if anyone know if there is some options for Word 97 to autosave so that if you forget to say "yes" to the question "Do you want to save changes?" there is a possibility to find the document somewhere with changes?
Anyone know?

Hi nfpk,

Under Tools > Options > Save tab, there is an option Save AutoRecover info every: so many minutes. Is that what you are looking for?

Enjoy,
Tony

Hi!
Well I know this possibility, but it still doesn´t help if the user answer no (by mistake) to the question "Do you want to save chenges?" when he closes the Word application.
The tempfile is gone when i close the apploication. Or am I wrong?
So, could there be some kind of macro or something like that which force the user to save (or autosave in the background). Maby I have to create one??

Hi nfpk,

Yes, I think you are right, the temp file will be lost after succesfully closing the document (with or without saving changes).

I do wonder, however, whether you are exaggerating the problem. The Users always get a choice and the default is to save changes, so not saving them is a deliberate action - you can't just forget. I know we all make mistakes sometimes, but forcing a save even when it's not wanted (as Jajinder's code will do) doesn't strike me as a benefit.

Enjoy,
Tony
