Automating the backups of cisco routers/switches

I've tried the perl method and failed miserably, solarwinds is pants.

Automatic backup of configs - creating dated backups of files and storing them in an archive folder.
ARP table logging - keep track of your IP addresses that are in use - identify conflicts.
Auto documentation of Switch port details, ties ports to VLANs, MAC addresses, IP addresses and DNS.
Add enable mode or config commands to multiple routers at once.
Change passwords on multiple routers and switches at once.
Schedule events to happen at certain times of the day and on certain days.

Best freeware stuff I've found so far...
