Automating Replica Synchronization

Hello,
I've set up an application that need to be run on a laptop offline. I've got my replicas all running correctly, its just that there seems to be a lot of keystrokes and a lot of potential for user error. Does anybody know a quick way to automate replica syncronizations? Ideally I'd like to see an icon on the desktop for such a thing.
