I've done something that has come back and bitten me in the butt... On our file server, I had set the permissions to allow users full control over thier shared folders. Very stupid thing I know (I did this 5 years ago).
Now I'm trying to migrate all the data over to a new file server but many people have changed thier permissions and removed the "Domain Admins" group so know my script hangs ups every time it gets to a folder it cannot access and then skips the file.
Does anyone know of a tool that will automate me taking ownership and then adding permissions to the folders. Doing it manually causes me to hit "yes" about 50,000 times on the popup box warning me about the change.
Thanks!
