Hey guys,

I have an analogue station set up as a modem and was wondering if there was a way to automatically have it dial 9 and grab an outside line when picked up. I have an STB hooked up and the number is hard coded into it, so I can't add the 9 there.

Thanks very kindly in advance! :)

What if you do this instead (provided it works within your dial plan and the extension is available):

If the STB's call out number is 555-123-4567, and you have a 4 digit ext. dial plan, make 5551 an extension with remote coverage to the 555-123-4567 number? If you have 5 digits then 55512.

When the modem dials out, the system will capture the 5551 and ignore the rest.

Favorite all too common vendor responses: "We've never seen this issue before." AND "No one's ever wanted to use it like that before.

Make the station a hotdial phone (a ring down phone). Then make the abrv-dial number a 9.

Thanks kindly guys, I managed to make it a hot dial using the system abb dial list :)

Cheers
