Does anyone know how to disable the feature in Outlook/Office that automatically turns text that matches the format of a link into a blue underlined link?
For example, when typing an email to a coworker (using Outlook builtin email editor set to plain text), and I enter a UNC address (\\computername\c$\directory\directory), Outlook automatically underlines it and colors it blue. I want to turn that off. I think it is a useful feature - but extremely annoying when you don't want/need it. Especially when the link I am trying to communicate has a space in it (such as a directory with a space in the name), then it breaks off the special formatting at the space.
It does the same thing in Word and Excel (and PowerPoint presumably...) too, so I dunno if there is a global setting for it in Office and if there is I don't know where it is.
Thanks
