Hey Folks, How do I go about getting an Inbound call from a known number (323-523-7456) routed to a particular extension.

I've got some kid calling in pranking my staff. I have his phone number from Caller Id and would like to program the system to Automatically Forward or Route his calls to my fax machine. I figure by the 4th time he gets an ear full he'll quit.

My system is and Option 11 with a PRI

You would have to have Symposium or Contact Center or some sort of Voice Firewall like SecureLogix.

LD49 takes "what the caller dialed" (Incoming Digit Conversion) and converts it to another extension. The problem is the prankster is not the only person calling that number.

He will just start blocking caller ID if you invest any time or money in this.

OK, so I'm understanding this correctly the coversion is the changing of the targeted number ie my staffs extension.

Not a conversion of the inbound phone number 323-523-7456 being recogonized and then translated to be routed to a desired destination.

Incoming Digit Conversion.

inbound number is being converted to another number *(that you setup in the IDC table)

what people was saying is it's not based on CLID, you will be affecting ALL calls for that DID number.

A common application for IDC is when someone can only order DID numbers that start with "9" (like 414-555-9000). You have to convert those 9xxx numbers to other extensions, because 9 is your outside line access.
