Hi all I would like to create a stock set of folders in my pupils My documents ( Redirected folders in AD)

I would like these to be created at the users first logon to the system, if not some way of creating them via a click on script or simular. Thanks stressed out school tech. ;-)

Some lead, some follow....I just Hope!

Just came across your message so I don't know if you sorted this or not - here goes anyway. You could write a batch file (a text file with the extension .bat using DOS commands)which creates the folders inside My documents. Then create an OU in the AD called pupils. Move all your pupils into this OU. Create a group policy for it and edit the policy (User configuration -> Windows Settings -> Script logon/logoff) and run the batch file from a networked dir which all pupils have access to.

hi just seen your post
if you make a user as a template with the stock folders you want in and just copy and rename for the new users you want. as long as you are redirecting using the \%username% insted of the actual user name this will also increase speed of user creation.

cheers fred all sorted
