Automatic Dialing Issues 1

I have two Mics w/ 7.1 software that does not allow for automatic dial in dialing options or f*82. Is this a feature that has been discontinued??

I have it working on 7.0 with other systems. It's the new software that I'm having the issues with. This has just been recent.

Just looked at the CD for Mics & Cics on 7.1.

Using Automatic dial
Automatic dial allows you to dial a number without selecting
a line. Your prime line is selected as soon as you start dialing
a number.
Automatic dial does not work if your telephone has no prime
line or if your prime line is in use.
Telephones connected to an analog terminal adapter (ATA)
cannot use Automatic dial.
 
I didnt see irons post slip in there but I think that's all it is being you need to prime to something.
I did see a post where it was an issue and they had to switch the prime to another then back again.

Prime is set to Pool A and lines are set to that Pool. As i had stated earlier, I have this feature on a few other Mics w/ 7.0 and it works just fine. I did an install a few weeks ago with no problem setting up automatic dial. However I installed a Mics w/7.1 yesterday and that feature is not available. I also have one in my office w/ 7.1 and no automatic dial...Can't figure it out.

Did you try different primes? or is it when you do F*82 get rejected?
 
I tried f*82 and also in programming under dialing options. I was able to get it working by assigning a line or I/C as prime. Then go into user preferences to dialing options and change to automatic dial. Then go back to prime line and change to Pool A. Now I can toggle between dialing options in f*82 and in programming. That's on the Mics in my office.

I accessed the other system remotely and was able to duplicate. However, once I change prime to Pool A and go into dialing options and change, I can't reassign automatic dial. Could be a software glitch. I'll just leave it until I'm on site.

Only one system reverts back to standard/pre dial when attempting to toggle between dialing options after setting prime to pool a the other retains it.
