I am certain this is probably simple but I have researched the help for access and can't seem to find the answer.

How can I make a date field autopopulate with the current date at time of entry?

I have tried =Today() but it won't accept that. =Now() works to put in the time....is there something for the date?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Try =date()
