How can I automate and ODBC connection and not give the admin rights to the user. Can this be done with a login script?

Automate"?

We require our users' PC UserID and AS/400 UserID, and passwords, to match; I create an ODBC DSN on each PC that uses the Windows User, and has read-only rights.

When they open the application that uses that DSN, it uses their Windows login ID and password to automatically connect to the AS/400 - without the User/Password prompt.

Is something like that what you're looking for?
