I have an application that needs to have data imported from either Excel spreadsheet or .txt. How do I go about putting a button on a menu that can automate this process?

Have you tried linking to the Excel file or text file?

Then you do not need to import.

This is a database that I am looking at distributing to other organizations. Not sure how to link to the spreadsheet with too many unknown variables based on each user. I think importing would be more consistent.

How about the TransferSpreadsheet method?

I haven't used that. How do I do it and how do I incorporate it into a button on a menu?

Not to sound unhelpful but have you looked n the help files for it?
