Not sure if this is what you want but you could use windows [blue]Task Scheduler[/blue] to open the db. The db runs the [blue]AutoExec[/blue] macro which calls a [blue]routine that runs your function[/blue] and subsequently [blue]closes the db . . .[/blue]
