Autoloader and BE 9.1 1

Just got a Exabyte Magnum 1x7 autoloader and using BE 9.1. I want to link my backup jobs to specific tapes in each slot, ie. daily inc/diff will append to the tape in slot 1, week 1 full backup overwrite in slot 2, week 2 - slot 3, week 3 - slot 4, week 4 - slot 5 (for the few months with 5 complete weeks), end of month - slot 6, cleaning tape in slot 7.

How can I configure my backup jobs to do this? Full backups currently can fit on one tape. Thanks!

Create partition and then you will have to create seperate job for each task above to point to the specific slot

I've got the same issue. I'm a little surprised this is so hard - ah well.

I've got a 20 (i.e. 4x5) day rotation - full backups.

Prob is I need to run a tape export against that slot when I'm finished.

What number of partitions should I use?

And can I do anything clever with my media sets or am I just going to end up with 20 jobs?
