The parameter window I'm using on my query won't accept my SendKey Keystrokes. Is there away to make this [Enter Parameter] on my query accept my SendKey Keystrokes?
I'm not quite sure how to do this?
On the query I have a field called HCHV, and there are several HCHV. In the criteria I have [Enter HCHV]
To lessen the number of keystrokes I simply want the client to be able to press one or two keys to input their HCHV. I thought macros/autokeys/keystrokes was the way to go, it certainly does eliminate keystrokes when entering repetitive data in a field on a form.
So I don't quite understand how to implement your solution in my situation when the user is prompted to Enter Their HCHV?
Access does ignore autokeys in its "Enter Parameter Value Window".
How do your users open this query, from the database window, a form, other. Hopefully you're going to say form. You will be able to use your AutoKeys macro on a form. Your second posting was a bit more explanatory.
1. If you have a form to run the query, can you post the form's name.
2. If not a form, how?
3. Can you post the query's SQL. To do this, open the query in design view, from the menu select VIEW|SQL, copy and paste the entire text into the reply window.
I personally might not be able to reply for a day, but someone else might be able to help you more with this extra info.
