Hi
i am using Excel 97 and have been asked if there is a way of automatically putting a border round new entries which are added to a spreadsheet and if there is how would we go about it

Thank you

Anna

You could select the entire sheet, and do menu command Format/Conditional Formatting, and choose
Cell Value Is
not equal to
=""

and press the Format button, and choose your borders in the Border tab. Pres OK to confirm Format, press OK to complete Conditional Format.

Cheers, Glenn.

My grandfather was ill, and my grandmother smeared goose-grease on his back. He went downhill very quickly after that.
