Hi,

When i try to install a program ... Windows gives a Autoexec.nt error (not able to run 32 bit application) . Ive already replaced the file with another one and this works untill i reboot then the file is lost again.

Perhaps spyware ??

Might be spyware, form what I can determine the spyware responsible is called "windupdate.exe", so you may want to check for it. I would download a copy of Giant Anti-spyware from:

Then...update it to latest definitions, run it, let it fix what it finds.

If still no joy, I read somewhere else where copying a fresh Autoexec.nt file and then setting it to read-only is a way to workaround the issue.

good luck,

JLong
