Hi,
I've got a staff table that I import an excel file into, it works great, all the information from the file goes into the table but another table has appeared called:

"Name Autocorrect save failures"

A new entry appears every time I Import giving the table name, object type, reasons for failure, and time. The reason for failure is "could not save the object" but all the info is in the staff table.

Can anyone give me any info on this?

I'm not sure what version of Access you are using, but in Access 2000 the NameAutoCorrect feature causes a number of problems and it's better to turn it off.

The name auto correct feature is that feature that allows you to change a name of a field in a table and that change will populate through your queries, forms, and reports. So some reason when you import it is trying to change a name of a field somewhere in a query and can not do it.
Like THWatson said, this feature does horrible things in A2k. Forms that take a couple seconds to load may crash the system or take minutes to load. Especially bad in a split FE BE database. Tools-options-general to shut it off.

Hi There,
Thanks for the advice, i've turned it off.
