I have met many people on forums and newsgroups with the problem they somehow had lost there autocomplete in google, but never somebody with a solution.
There are solutions to autocomplete-problems, like found on but on my computer that solution worked for username/passwords only (and that is what it is supposed to solve), but the problem (no autocomplete in google) stayed.
Finally I found a solution that worked on my computer.
After I deleted everything under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Protected Storage System Provider (not the key itself) the problem was solved.
In fact, all autocomplete-problems were solved instantly [sunshine]
Of course, you should delete this kind of keys only after a proper backup and even then it is at your own risk (at least: not mine (-: ) and only tested on my computer.

Note: The S-1-5 ... portion of this string may be different on your machine, as it is the user SID

I had this problem in XP (I know this is a win 2k forum) but I had to start the protected storage service on the pc and set it to automatic to enable autocomplete.. you may want to have a look at this rather than mess with the registry
