Greetings,
Is it possible to have an autochanger (DDS-2) automatically load the next volume, when tar'ing or dump'ing? Is there like a flag that be passed to either command to have the next volume load when eot is reached?

From what I remember when we used a DDS3 autochanger, as far as the operating system was concerned the tape drive and the autochanger were different devices (lun0 and lun1)
and the tape changing was managed by the backup software.
This was propretry software not the basic tar ufsdump or cpio. As far as basic backups go we could only address the drive itself and not the autochanger.
