What happened to the feature that did an autocalc on the status bar with the sum or average, etc., of the selected cells? I use that feature constantly and cannot find it in the new version. Is there any way to get that feature active in XP?

I use it all the time as well, I'll check out XP at home tonight. I'll post the results if someone doesn't do it before. Sandy

It's still there on my version of XL 2002 - Have you the status bar set to ON in Tools, Options, View ?

Yes, the status bar was turned ON but it didn't show. I turned it off and then back on and now it's there. I had to do the same thing in Word to get the status bar to show, only the phrasing was slightly different.

Thank you for the suggestion. It got me to experiment with it and I may keep this version after all. :)
