I have 3 interlinked workbooks A, B & C, the values in C are calculated from inputs in A & B. Now, whenever another workbook (unrelated to this set of 3) links to workbook C, the values will be out of date up until such time as workbook C is opened and therefore updates itself.

Is there a neat way to fix this?

Methinks you would need to have code in the workbook open event of the 4th workbook, that opens up workbook C (unseen by users) and updates the links in there, then closses again
