Auto Update Question

I am trying to setup Automatic Updates so that it will download and then prompt the user to install the updates or wait until a later time. The users are configured as POWER USERS on their machines. But after making these changes, the auto update doesn't work. I know if they were set as ADMINISTRATOR, it would work without problems. This sounds like something all network administrators would want, so I believe I'm probably missing something so any help would be appreciated.
