Hi guys I have an LTO1 autoloader with 8 tape slots. I'm backing up several databases. I've loaded up the autoloader and created several jobs to automatically run. The first tape that is written to was automatically named with the date the jobs started backing up. I noticed after that first tape filled up, the jobs just moved to the next tape and continued on. that's good that's what i want. My question is, can i make it so after one tape gets full, and the jobs move to the next tape, that new tape gets named with the current date instead of the original date of the first tape? thanks.

No this isn't possible - backups that span to a second tape will always format the second tape with the same name as the first.
