I just put a new ACS 7.0 in service today and came up with a small but important issue.

My customer wants to be able to bridge in on an active line being used by another station...very simple..Just touch the line button in use and then the 1st user will see his line light alternate red/green etc and the 2nd station can join the call...normal operation..right!
Thats not happening..I can't go in on any active line button from any set.
All stations behave the same.

all stations are setup in # 304 as a "2"-[not assigned] and none of the sets have a privacy button programmed.
First time I ran into this on a 7.0
I did a #728 system reset..NG..didn't help..Then for giggles I assigned 2 stations in #304 and then unassigned them..Still NG

Please make me feel stupid...It's been a long cutover day..
Bad 7.0 or is it me????....or has something change in the 7.0 Hmmmmm

Thanks Rich

Press Feature 59

It probably will say 91I

That means that it has the latest "patch" installed that takes care of problems with the AAA batteries not holding the memory, even when they are good, and a disconnect problem with remote call forward.

BUT, it also causes extensions that are assigned as NOT private to be private anyway.

The temporary work-around is to dial Intercom, 6, 8, and the line number (2 digits, so it's 01 for Line 1, 02 for Line 2, etc.)

Sorry, but that's the way it is right now, or down grade them to a Release 6, but you lose a bit of line and station capacity.

Perhaps the next software patch will address the privacy issue.

Touchtone Tommy....

You are truly the best!!!

"Thank You" so much for the answer and quick response...
At least I can go back to my customer tomorrow with a quick fix solution.

Sooooo...I'm not crazy after all.

I think the Partner system is the best product out there for the size it serves but one has to wonder how this issue got past the people at Avaya...

This site is the best!!!
Many thanks
Rich

you could probably program that key sequence to a button on the phone to make it easier for the customer. one for each line or leave the line number off and have the customer dial the line number.

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.
