Auto pick up

My friend works in a hospital and they have a phone in a room where the doctors are occupied and cannot pickup the phone but need to answer. I was told there was a feature, where a phone would ring and auto pick up and go to speaker. Does anyone have any experience with such a feature?

Look at the voice call feature in the Softwares & Features Guide. It's just been a while since I set one up. I do remember you need to set HFA and AAA in the CLS of the phone your calling.

Oh and also turn the option on in the CDB data.

have you looked under the intercom feature, that sounds like what you want. the only problem with intercom feature is that use that feature the phone has to have the intercom button programmed on it. From the phone they hit the intercom button the phone will ring, and then go to handsfree mode, and they can talk. You will have to assign each phone a member number to that intercom group.

What you are most likely needing is "auto answer" and it is AAA in the CLS of the phone. This is what I usually put on phones in surgery rooms and things like that in hospitals.
