I know VM Pro can do a lot - but I question whether this is possible. Customer has an Intertel phone system. Incoming calls via DID ring at specific extensions. If the call is unanswered after x rings, it is automatically placed in a specific Park slot - and a page call goes out at both locations - notifying the User that they have a call waiting at that specific Park slot. The "page" recording is made by each user.

Any ideas on how something similar can be done in IP Office using VM Pro?

You can use a timeout feature to transfer to a post dial action that plays the page, then transfer to a shortcode that sends to a meet me conferencing bridge or a park slot

OK - but how do you get the page to include mentioning the Park Slot - although I guess you could assign each user a unique Park slot. I also need to page both SCM connected sites simultaneously - and park the call so that it is accessible to be answered from either site. I don't think you can have a Park slot that is accessible from either site.

You cannot park across a SCN but you can transfer to a fake group and use group buttons.
This work around is even suggested by Avaya on the IPOffice server edition.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

tlpeter - so you would create one fake group - with everyone in it at site 1 and site 2 - and program a single group button for that fake group on every phone at both sites? Would this work with 75 users at one site and 15 at the satellite site?.

The users don't need to be in the group, it can just be empty with Queueing on, they just need the group button :)

You do not need to add members in it but you must enable queuing:

Code:
Group

Monitors the status of a hunt group queue. This option is only supported for hunt groups with queuing enabled. The user does not have to be a member of the group.

Depending on the users button type, indication is given for when the group has alerting calls and queued calls (queued in this case is defined as more calls waiting than there are available group members).

· Pre-Release 4.0: Pressing a Group button displayed information about the longest waiting call in the queue and options to answer, drop or ignore the call.

· Release 4.0+: Pressing a Group button answers the longest waiting call.

· Release 4.0+: The definition of queued calls include group calls that are ringing. However, for operation of the Group button, ringing calls are separate from other queued calls.

Details

· Release: 1.0+.

· Action: Group.

· Action Data: Group name enclosed in " " double-quotes or group number.

· Default Label: <group name>.

· Toggles: .

· Status Indication: Required.

So - if I take the first suggestion - I would create a specific start point for each user - with a menu that included a timeout of a second or so - that would transfer to a post dial action that plays the individual's pre-recorded page wave at both sites (not sure how you get it to play a specific wave file over the paging systems at both sites) and then transfers to a fake group with no members but queuing on. I would then put a Group button for the fake group on every phone at both locations - so the call can be answered anywhere by pressing the button. Is that corect?
