Auto-mounting SMB Volumes at login

Perhaps this is shaping up to be a really stupid question, but I'm new to OS X, so here goes: Is there any way to configure my machine to auto-mount win2k smb volumes at login? I'm running Jaguar. I assumed that dragging the already mounted drives into the login items in the system preferences would do the trick, but no such luck.
