Auto Media Management w/ more than one pool in changer

I want to have my Networker 7.1 (Windows 2k3) use my Autochanger Slots 1-12 for one pool, and slots 13-24 for another pool. I just got the barcode reader working, and I want to use Auto Media Management to label tapes. Until now, I had been manually labeling each set of tapes, and Networker knew exactly which tapes to use for each pool. Is there a way to tell Networker to only look at certain slots in the changer for certain pools?

Not really. He will pick one recyclable from the same pool, if possible. This assume the default settings (recycle to/from other pools=no).

However, this does not apply to blank media. He will take one from any location.

Hi,

You could prelabel all blank media and assign the media to a specific pool. If you do this, be sure to mark the media as recyclable, otherwise they wont be used.
