Is there a way to enforce everyone's computer automatically logs off at say... 6pm? We keep having a problem where they are not logging off and the backups are not going properly due to open and in use files, etc. Plus for security reasons we would like everyone's computer logged off all night while cleaning people are here. :)

Is it 3rd party software or can I define a policy on the server that gets pushed to them??

Thanks.

You should be able to do this through group policy applied to the everyone group. I believe (but am not completely sure) there is a time restraint option (ie, users are allowed connections between 7am - 6pm) somewhere in there. Be careful, though. If you're running your backup as a User / Batch File with User rights, it might be part of that everyone group. Check this before you apply the GP. Catadmin - MCSA
