When using auto attendant to transfer a call to a VDN that forwards to an external number, the caller ID shows up as the lead number for the set of DID's that we use as our extensions. Is there a way to change it so that when a call is transferred to an external number it passes the callers caller ID? Any help would be appreciated!! Also, where is it setup to grab that main number, in case I want to change what it sends?

I don't believe so. This is caused by the flash hook. When you call into the audix it comes in on a port. It transfers out another port and takes the identity of the second port. This port is probably a non did and that is why you are getting the lead number for your DID range.

Maybe using a vector instead of a audix auto attdt?

When you forward the call to the second resource (ie forwarding to an external number)you are placing a call on another trunk group. The outbound call will send the information that the carrier is sending on all calls on that carrier trunk group (T-1, Main BTN etc). You will need to have the carrier change the information that is being provided. There are some other resolutions , as well.
