auto attendant

I have CM3.1.4 and MM4.0. We current have an auto attendant where the main number points to vdn 1000 that points to vector 1. The only step in the vector is a messaging step. I looked in MM and there is no mailbox that i see built for 1000.
Now I need to build a second auto attendant with another number 2000. How do I get it to act like an AA?

I've read posts here (probably not the right one), looked at the CM Admin guide and MM guide. The guides only reference Listed Directory Numbers but my table is empty, and the post mostly reference audix. How do I do this? And of course I need this by yesterday. Help!

Why not keep the Auto Attendant in the Cm and vectors. Why ship it to Voice Mail. I believe is it is much more efficient keeping the AA in vectors.

When you call the main number and let it go all the way through doeas it go to a mailbox? If so recheck your vector and see what mail box is being used for messaging.It may not be 1000.If you do not go to a mailbox greeting,you could try and create mailbox 1000 and place a greeting on it and try again
