Hello,

I have an Option 11 running release 25.4. It has 2 primes for incoming and outgoing calls. when you call one of the primes you get the auto attendent, which is correct. when you call the other it goes straight to a phone. Can someone give me a quick primer in where to go to change that behaviour so the AA answers the call?

Thanks,

Doug

What do you mean by Primes?

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Sorry. T1's

Can you post the RDB's for both?

Are you saying each prime has a different phone number? PRIs are generally DID so you will have a range of numbers, shared across both PRIs, each terminating on a specific DN.

OK, whatever... to start.

Prime is commonly used to describe ISDN PRI (23b+d) in SBC/ATT land.

Unless the route is DID or TIE signaling, PRI serves no purpose and the span is probably just straight T1.

Thanks guys in advance for your help. I am more of a MAC guy and haven't had a chance to break this part of the system yet. I have two PRI's. one is for outgoing, one is for incoming. We do not map did's to dns. The outgoing prihas a different pilot number than the other pri. when someone calls in on pri 1, xxx-4500 they ger meridian mail's AA. The problem is if we call someone it goes out the second PRI xxx-8480 and when they use redial or call the number back it is going to someones phone. I looked at IDC and put the number in there but it didn't seem to solve the problem.

You should call your Vendor.

Unlesss their is a way to have the second PRI send the number for the first PRI....that would solve it all.

Your CO can make that happen.

Just a thought... are the trunks auto terminating somewhere?

Look for ATDN.

If the 8480 number is the only number going out each call and when called back it goes to a phone ,then I would build 8480 as an ACD that NCFW to voice mail. Then go into LD 49 and direct the 8480 to the voice mail dn.Last but not least go into the MerMail and build a DN that points to the same menu service as the 4500.Or you could point the 8480 in the IDC to the 4500.Maybe this is a solution.
