Hi guys

looking for some advice

we currently have a 1 Rack unit of ipLDK 100 with 3 handsets running off of it with 1 main number and 8 or 9 DDI numbers (cant remember off top of my head) behind it all the calls come into the main number and calls just stack onto the DDIs

I am looking to find out what would be the best option for creating a queue system when the lines are busy, from reading these forums I believe I can use either a AAIBE card or VMIBE to do this but I believe the AAIBE is limited to 4 Channels but I am unsure if the VMIBE would be any better maybe someone can point me in the right direction?

Current setup from what I can see is:

1 rack with:

MBPN
PRIBE
VOIUE
DTRU

Software: UK90P-3.7Dh Dec/07 United Kingdom 1 Rack

Use VMIBE. Make a forum search for CCR or VMIBE. I have written instructions in how to build a menu selection system (CCR).

Hi guys

So I have bought a VMIBE card and about to install but just want to confirm a couple of details...

From my understanding the installation of the card is:

- Power off
- Insert in a free slot (there are 3 free)
- Power up
- Log in with PCADMIN
- Set-up slot type to VMIB (PGM101)

Also I'm sure I have to do something in PGM103 but not sure exactly what?

Also I want to use the VMIBE card as a sort of call waiting so for instance have it set so that after so many rings the system would answer and play a message until one of our operators are clear to answer but currently unsure how to do this would it be a single stage CCR?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

In PGM103 - make shure that the VMIB slot is seen under VMIB.

I would recommend this "way of doing it":

-> Backup the database by ipLDK Admin - and save the backup in a safe place.
Then:
- Power off (Power cable removed!)
- Insert in a free slot (there are 3 free)
- Power up (insert power cable).
- Log in with PCADMIN
- Set-up slot type to VMIB (PGM101 also PGM103).

Make a forum search for VMIB and CCR and you will find many ggod tips.

If you want to use VMIB for a message in connection with the operators - put the operators in to a group in PGM 190 and record some welcome greetings to be haerd when you call in.

I seem to be having connection issues with pcadmin I am using a USB to rs232 serial cable the com port settings are correct but it hangs when trying to connect

It comes up asking for a password I just presumed this was the same as the admin password is this correct or is there another default password required to connect to the system

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You need to use: Administrator (as userID) and 0000 as password.

thats the log in details i have been using

here is the screen shots of what password Im not sure of and what happens when I use the default admin password

password comes up after selecting Connect(SIO) then inputting com settings

First you must make a "site" with IP address and the Admin password of the ipLDK.
Then yu can log on using Administrator and 0000.

The password in ipLDK must be known to you.

Do you use IP or serial?

This thread covers many of your questions.

I have been trying to use a serial cable as I am unsure of the IP address

I tried to get it through one of the terminals but i an unsure what to do when it gets to logging on as admin at a terminal and any buttons I press on the terminal just beeps

Couple of things here what is the software level of your kit ? if you are below Version 3 that tool will not work. It is simpler to configure through the handset if you know what you are doing , dial 0 , this will hopefully get you the admin phone to ring ,then from handset do this, trans/pgm *# then if promted for a password dial 147*(overide) then from admin programming hit trans/pgm again and then dial 101 , work through the flex keys (assign the board) any changes require hold/save after input , then repeat in pgm 103.

If you get stuck and really want to use the admin tool find out the software level trans 72 from a display phone and let us know.

Kit is running firmware 3.7dh and I am trying to use pc admin C.7Ag

I know the pcadmin and ldk firmware should match but I have been unable to find 3.7dh pc admin

Thanks for your help

First check if you can log on the ipLDK.
This is done by [Trans/Pgm] + * + # [password] + [Trans/Pgm].

Then you can build your site in the ipLDK Admin program.
Add your values for serial or IP -address.
To opne the ipLDK Admin progra use "Administrator" as UserID and 0000 for password.
When all settings are OK, do a right mouse click on the site and connect.

OK can you connect via hyper terminal , board rate 19200 , 8 None 1. Hit return .

you should see the firmware level and be prompted for a password ( this is not admin programming ,just disconnect at this point it is proving the lead and connection are ok)

The lead needs to be pins 2 , 3 and 5 connected straight through 9 pin to 9 pin.

If you can connect like this , then its most likely you are setting up the admin tool incorrectly that version of tool is fine to connect with.

If the ipLDK firmware is 3.7dh and ipLDK PC admin is C.7Ag then it is OK.

I managed to get the IP address from one of the terminals so I am going to use a LAN connection instead of the serial I presume it requires a cross over cable

Yes, if you connect directly to the LANU of the MPB.
