Auto-Answer External Calls on Speakerphone

IP Office 500 v2 w/ 1400 Series Deskphones

Looking for a way to have an extension auto-answer external calls on speakerphone when I call it from the outside via the auto attendant.

Tried a few things but I'm going nuts trying to get this to work.
Can anyone help?

I am not sure if you can do it for the external calls but the *DCP shortcode it what you should look at

Auto Answer on -- *DCP - 40000000,0,2,1,0 - auto answer on

the position of the 2 is the important one - not sure if it can be seen clearly with the bold and underline.

So I tried the short code you provided with no effect.


I found this shortly after trying what you posted...

Sometimes call center agents want their phones to answer after 1 ring. With IP Office you can do this. For this to happen, we need to add a new short-code (if it is not already there) for each user that wants this feature.

*DCP
Dial
40000000,0,X,Y,0
0

(X affects internal calls and Y affects external calls)


So I also tried 40000000,0,2,2,0 with no effect.

Should feature be set to "Dial"? I've seen CW used a lot.
