I was getting a pop-up on a POP3 account while sending mail in OE 6 that asked for username, password, and domain, even if they were already entered in the account settings.

If I click cancel, the mail gets sent anyway.

If I enter the correct information, the mail gets sent and I don't get prompted again until I restart the mail client.

At home, if I enter my home ISP account info for the outgoing mail, I do not get prompted at all.

This last behavior is peculiar. Am I sending mail through my home ISP's mail server, or through my own internet mail server?

We cannot know that, check you account settings - outgoing server.

Okay, good point.

When I specify my own internet mail server for the outgoing email account, I get the username/password/domain prompt - even if they are entered in the account properties.

When I change the outgoing mail to my home ISP's account settings, I don't get prompted at all.

Your 'own internet mail server'?
Is that an Exchange 2000 server?

SP6 ?? Latest is SP3!

Anyway, you need to check your credentials on the server as it is not recognising/authenticating you.

Check the Event logs on the Exchange server too.
