Where do you enable an ncos to prompt you for an auth code.. ncos 2 dials ld, gets a tone dials the number, ncos 3 dials ld, gets a busy.. the frl is 4 the auth code changes to ncos 4... if the set is ncos 4 the call goes through without a auth code.. ncos 0, 1 and 2 prompt for code... where do i tell the switch to turn on auth codes for ncos 3

EASIEST WOULD BE TO GO TO LD 87 AND CHANGE THE FRL TO A 2

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

To help and restate: If a phone is NCOS 2 and tries to call a number that is restricted to a higher NCOS than the user will have the ability to enter access code. However when a phone is NCOS 3 and tries to dial a number that is in a higher NCOS restriction the user will receive a fast busy and not have the ability to enter a access code.

YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK IN LD 87 MAKE SURE NCOS 3 IS A FRL OF 3 ALSO

Check to see what the MFRL is set at in the RLB. In what you have described it should be set at 4. Also insure that FRL is set to 4 on each entry.

thanks all, it was the mfrl on a different rlb, not the one i had looked at originally... thanks all

LD 86 - RLB
The minimum FRL is used to determine whether or not to prompt for an auth code after a call.
