sweeeet, thanks ill try that in a few minutes
i used a premade one and the pbx spit an rs-232 error, so i ssume the AUI aka the DB-15 isnt pinned out right
didnt work...still get "check RS-232" D-channel RLS error indication
I also tried
1 to 5
3 to 2
9 to 4
11 to 1 ??? no good either...
beginning to think the serial cable is bad...its a dual PRI cable, one half teh cable is definiutely good because I have one PRI up and working..its one of the siamese cables....
if he's using a daughter board then the dip on the daughter board is correct, device number is the same for both pri's, it he is using a msdl then err code would alert him of rs232 setting as opposed to rs 422. if 2's channel was set to ami, it wouldn't come up. the loop will tell him if the cable is bad, quick and clean, the card can cause that, the cable, software. software is more then likely a clone of the one that's working.. i couldn't trouble shoot it any deeper without a spare cable, card and or loop back. i've had to come in late and steal a working cable to verify the trouble spot. i've never had a bad octupus cable on the pri side. i've never had more money then i need either, some things do change, cables can be bad, money is always good.
