I have a Definity AUDIX voicemail system, the disk drive card, ( TN568 ) has a red "error" light that is flashing once a second, I have not had any reports of lose of service and have not had a problem myself, I have replaced the disk in the drive but am leery of resetting the card. Myself having no experience in dealing with possible hardware issue with this unit I talked to the previous administrator of the system to ask if he had any idea of what is happening, he had stated that he had this same thing happen once before and the card had to be replaced. My question is whether or not I can safely reset the card either through the command console or use the reset button on the card without whipping all my user information as the quoted price for repairs is out-of-the-question.
Any help would be appretiated.

What alarms are being reported.

Definity Audix is no longer supported by Avaya, so you should begin formulating a migration plan now...don't wait for it to full out die. Getting a new voice mail system isn't as easy as running to CompUSA and buying new hardware....

The alarms i am getting are
SOFTWARE 01A0700 MIN 5002 n 04/27/07 12:36
MO_DICK 01A0702 WRN 2 n 04/28/07 01:03
SYS_TIME 01A07 WRN 2 n 04/27/07 12:38

The service company I use has given me a quote on replacing and reprograming the card, but If i don't have to spend $10,000 I don't want too. (I don't think the bean counters will sign off on this much anyway unless it dies outright). The hospital I work in is in the process of building and moving into a new location, so at the longest I need this system to stay alive for a year, and then it will be the IT department problem as they will be taking the communications out of my hands. ( thank the gods )

The Minor Software Alarm with a 5002 fault Code indicates a corrupted file system, the prescibed maintenance fix is to do a "RESET SYSTEM REBOOT" this will force a check on the filesystem and HOPEFULLY clean it up, or not.
