I am trying to get this set up. When I push the audix-rec button I get a message telling me 1 is not valid. Please re-enter the mailbox.

AUDIX One-Step Recording problem

Make sure when you set up the audix record button on the station form that the extension field points to the hunt group extension of your Avaya voice mail.

I figured it out. The set I was using was a bridged appearance. That won't work.
