Audix Names Directory 1

Hello, I'd like to setup the feature to allow callers to select a person by name (names directory?) and enter their extension. I have an Intuity Audix with CM 3.1.x. Any pointers?

Not sure if I understand you here, do you want to search for a user by surname for example and then call that person.

On your phone put a DIRECTORY button. On the name field for the station or login id put the fromat as

SURNAME, FIRSTNAME

When you press the Directory button, type the surname and the person will appear.

Now put a CALL-DISP button on your phone.

This Call-Disp button will call whoever is on the screen when you use the DIRECTORY function.

Hi ierguard, This request is not for the phone display but for Intuity Audix so that a caller can enter a subscribers name and be directed to them. Thanks for the prompt feedback!

Create a new subscriber. On Page two, set the Addressing Format to NAME and under Permissions, set the type to AUTO-ATTENDANT. Set up page 3 like this:

The extension in the "Timeout" field is the subscriber extension.

Thanks SF0751 for the feedback! My issue was that I needed to record a greeting for the subscriber and activate it. Sorry for wasting your time!!!

make sure your subscribers are consistent in having their last name first, and if U have anyone(like a company president or famous person)that U don't want people to be able access, then modify their name so it can't be found with the autoattd. I have called or left messages of CEO by using the directory function, and they were not happy that I was able to avoid their serves that were paid big bucks to sift threw the callers so they would never have to hear my complaints.
