Can you change from 4 to 5 digits in the LX without having to delete subscribers and rebuild them?

We're having a minor debate here and cannot find the answer.

Thanks.

Yes you can. I just went from 3 to 4 digits on our Intuity LX R1.1 and CM3.1 systems.

You'll need to first change the extension length setting at the platform level, then adjust the dial plan info. in Audix. Once those things are done, you can use the "Change Extensions" command to modify all subscribers from 3 to 4 digits systematically. For example, we added a 4 to the front of our 3 digit extensions to make them 4 digits. You can use the same command to change individual subscribers as well.

Be sure to do a Platform Database Audit and full backup before hand.
