Audio Voiceover

I am doing an audio voiceover in Premiere Pro and cannot figure out how to do this in mono.
My computer has onboard sound and I am using a stereo mike and when I record it does so in stereo.
How can I set this up for a mono recording?

Just use a converter program (Goldwave can do this)
Its good to have a source in Stereo first then make it mono.
