Using WinOnCD 3.7 and a Plextor W1210TA CD-RW machine, I am trying to make a copy of an audio CD. The process appears to go ok, but the resulting copy can only plays ok on a cd player within a pc. When I place the CD in a hi-fi or portable player I get a 'no disc' message. How can I get it to run ok on all machines?

Other info...
The disk has been 'closed-off'.
The cd media is Memorex CD-RW 1x2x4, formatted as CD-R only (should I be using dedicated CD-R disks only?)

Any help would be appreciated.

As a general rule CD-RW's are not supposed to work in drives outside of computers. I have seen some people say that they do, although I was told they aren't supposed to unless it's a special drive that boasts that feature. The reason has something to do with an extra layer of chemical's used to make them rewritable. Apparently the laser's in standard cd players doesn't reflect properly. Use CD-R's.

Shall do - I'm going to format one right now.

Many thanks,
Alan
